Ice Flyers suffer third straight loss, falling to Mississippi
What a difference a week makes. One week after looking ready for the playoffs after a solid win over Birmingham, the Ice Flyers suffered their third straight loss, Tuesday night, losing on home ice to the Mississippi RiverKings, 5-2. The Flyers had lost their previous two games, in Evansville, the previous weekend.
The Flyers surrounded three quick goals in the first 11 minutes of the game and never got closer than two goals after that.
Jessyko Bernard and Charlie Adams scored the Ice Flyers two goals.
The Flyers play their final two home games of the regular season, this weekend, Friday, March 30, and Saturday, March 31, both games against Birmingham. They finish the regular season with three road games: at Macon, Thursday, April 5, then Friday and Saturday, April 6 and 7, in Knoxville.
