No. 1 ranked UWF tennis eyes championship

UWF men's tennis enters NCAA Regionals as the definite favorite to go all the way. The Argos are ranked number one in the country with sights set on the program's fourth national championship.

Chock full of talent and experience, UWF often overwhelms teams with depth that's just hard to hang with.

Leading the way is Alex Peyrot. The senior from France. He's playing at number one singles is ranked third in the nation, and his doubles paring with senior Pedro Dumont is ranked number one.

Gabriel Dias, a transfer from Division I Troy has been pivotal.

After being out of competition for a year and a half, Dias has really come on strong at number two singles and doubles. Dias is one of seven Brazilians on the roster.

Often playing with a lot of fire and passion, they give Derrick Racine's program a definite spark.

If being ranked number one doesn't give UWF enough confidence, they hit regionals knowing they've beaten every other team ranked in the top five.
