Wahoos 'Old Guy' is worthy all-star
Deck McGuire was a first round pick by Toronto in 2011,reaching Triple A by 2014, but a trade to Oakland started a revolving closet of uniforms.
McGuire's played for five different organizations in the last three years. He prefers to look at the bright side.
"Anytime you go somewhere else it's because somebody liked you", said McGuire.
McGuire turns 28 this week. He's nearly four years older than your average Double A player. That can be a plus and a minus.
Wahoos manager Pat Kelly said he's been a great guy in the clubhouse from day one. On the field McGuire is putting up his best numbers since his rookie season in 2011 and is an all-star for the first time since then. He feels dreams of reaching the Major Leagues are still very much alive.
