Pensacola comes out to show support for hometown heroes

NAS PENSACOLA   --  The latest on the Blue Angels.
So far, seven air shows have been canceled through June.
And their future show and practice schedule is still unclear.
This morning was the first Pensacola practice flight of the season.
Thousands turned out to NAS Pensacola.
"The Blue Angels are back in Pensacola!
They have been spending the winter in El Centro California and now they are here.

Their first day back and they are doing some basic maneuvers this morning.

There was a bit of a question mark as far as how many people would show up this morning for this practice.  It is the first day back in Pensacola, but you can tell looking behind me there's thousands that have showed up. People are still coming in.

The Blues took to the air at 8:30 this morning and the people are still trying to find a spot to stand and check out the action.  There's probably 2 reasons for this.    1 it is the first day back in Pensacola but 2 some question marks about the upcoming season have people coming out to show their support and saying 'we still want the Blues, we think they're important and we love having them here in Pensacola.'

If you check the Blue Angels website you can tell that several of their shows have been canceled but there are still more shows on the list and in fact they leave tomorrow morning for a show in Key West.

People here making a statement saying they want the show to continue and they hope the blues will know that and feel that support from their hometown.
