Man saved by stranger after falling off Philadelphia subway platform

A good samaritan saved a man who accidentally fell off a subway platform Thursday in Philadelphia.

This video shows the 63-year-old man falling at least four feet onto the tracks.

His savior, a complete stranger, wastes no time and risks his own life to save another.

Trains pass by every seven minutes and the victim laid just a few feet away from an energized track.

"I had a plan if a train came. I was going to roll him underneath, you know. Like where you stand, like underneath the ledge or if I couldn't, I was going to ask someone to jump down and help me roll him."

The Good Samaritan says he wasn't thinking about the dangers, but thinking about victim.

Trains were stopped as the rescue continued.

Investigators are still trying to figure out why the 63-year-old victim stumbled onto the tracks.

He's now recovering in the hospital.
