Blue Angels volunteer around town

ESCAMBIA COUNTY   --  With the cancellation of air shows and grounding of practice demonstrations, the Blue Angels are reaching out to their local community for volunteer opportunities

Angelo Warnock and Mark Hatfield usually work on the electrical specs of jets.
But today they worked to build a Habitat for Humanity home in Brownsville.
The men joined several other community volunteers to help secure parts of the homes frame.

"I have an avionics background but building a home using a hammer and nails, we don't get trained to do that in bootcamp. But it's pretty simple."
"They are seeing that the Blue Angels are here to help. It's not just pretty blue jets flying in the air. It's people helping people."

Once the home is complete the keys will be handed over to a local family who has completed at least 600 hours of work building Habitat homes.
