Niceville police continue to try to ID woman's body found in Rocky Bayou

NICEVILLE   --  Niceville police need your help identifying the body of a woman.
The body was found washed up in the waters of Rocky Bayou.
Police say the woman is in her 30s with blue eyes and brown hair.
She was wearing blue capris and a dark shirt.
The body was found right here, near the shore at the end of 11th Street. Police are still trying to figure out exactly what happened.

A  peaceful  neighborhood nestled near the water.   It's a place Kim Smith has called home for six years.
Not much happens around here, but when Smith woke up Sunday and saw dozens of police cars, she knew something was wrong.

"That shouldn't be happening or possibly been murdered"
You never expect something like this to happen close to home. A mother of two-- Smith is now being extra cautious, hoping this was just an accident.

"I'm thinking, okay, you think of all kinds of things"
Police haven't ruled out foul play as a cause of death. They estimate the body had been in the water for about 12 hours.

Paul Heinz has been living here for 30 years. He makes it a point to know all his neighbors-- but looking at the sketch, he doesn't know who this woman is, or where she came from.

"We still don't know, you don't know"
Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 863-TIPS.
