Boston Governor and Police Commissioner news conference

BOSTON   --  From News Conference with Boston Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Police Commissioner Edward Davis.

There were two explosions on Boylston Street in Boston.
It happened at 2:50 pm Eastern/1:50pm Central time.

A third explosion/fire happened around 3:3 pm Eastern/2:30 pm Central time at JFK Library.

They are not sure if the third explosion/fire was related, but they are treating it as if it was related.

Boston Police Commissioner Edward Davis says there were multiple casualties at all locations except JFK, where there were no casualties.  At least 2 people confirmed dead.

Boston PD is working with ATF to investigate.
As people were running from the scene, they dropped multiple parcels.  DOD teams are checking those bags.

President has called and offered the assistance of the FBI.
They are asking people in the Boston area to stay out of crowded areas, go back to their hotels, and stay inside until further notice.
