Congress passes bill to end FAA furloughs

Congress passed a bill to end the furloughs for air traffic controllers which have been blamed for flight delays.

Controllers had to take off unpaid days because of federal forced spending cuts.

It passed by a unanimous vote in the Senate.

The measure now goes to President Obama for his signature.

The measure also allows the FAA to continue operations at 149 control towers that had been slated to close.
