Santa Rosa votes to let Pensacola Beach residents use their libraries for free

Escambia Co., Fla. -- Residents that live on Pensacola Beach can now use Santa Rosa County libraries free of cost.

On March 28, the Santa Rosa County Commission coted to allow Pensacola Beach residents access to all Santa Rosa County library services. Beach residents technically live in Escambia County, but libraries located in Gulf Breezeand Navarre which are part of Santa Rosa County are closer for beach residents. Before this vote, Non-Santa Rosa County residents had to pay a one time $50 fee to get a library card.

The new Molino branch library opened April 1. It is located in the Molino Community Complex on Highway 95A, just south of Molino Road. There is an opening day open house April 1 through April 4 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and April 5 and 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. You can register for a library card, meet the staff, and tour the facility.
