Florida Attorney General files suit against BP

FLORIDA  --  Florida's Attorney General says she's seeking more than five-billion dollars in damages from BP over the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill.

Pam Bondi filed suit Saturday on the 3-year anniversary of the rig explosion.
Bondi explained she is pursuing lost tax revenue because of decreased tourism.

Bondi says she offered to settle the state's claim but never got a response from BP.
"We presented BP with a claim and we are asking for $5.4 million dollars in losses for our state. So we hope.....that figure includes, by the way, current, past and future damages as well.

Louisiana and Alabama sued BP earlier and are in federal court in New Orleans determining liability.
