Talking to your children about tragedies

ESCAMBIA COUNTY   --  Talking to your  kids about the bombing at the Boston Marathon can be a little overwhelming.

The Department of Children and Families is helping parents find a way to talk to their children about the trauma.
   
DCF recommends you be clear, calm and direct when talking with your children.
Some sadness, anxiety, even nightmares - is normal in children after a national tragedy.
   
They say the best thing you can do is be available for questions and comfort.
