B-25 Mitchell Bombers on display in Destin
As part of the Doolittle Raiders' 71st Reunion, five B-25 Mitchell bombers are in Destin this weekend.
In 1942, the Raiders trained at Eglin Field, then took off on what many thought was an impossible mission: a bombing run on Tokyo.
The B-25's will be on display at the Northwest Florida Airport through Sunday.
You can fly in one for $425. The money helps pay for the planes' fuel and maintenance.
As a bonus, Sunday you can meet two of the surviving members of the Doolittle Raiders.
They will be at the National Naval Aviation Museum aboard Pensacola NAS from 3:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
Admission is free.
