Pensacola Beach traffic down from last year

PENSACOLA BEACH   --  Traffic to Pensacola Beach was down last month, compared to April of last year.   Nearly 32,000 fewer cars drove through the Bob Sikes Toll Plaza this April.

Beach leaders believe cooler, rainier weather may have kept some people away.
Meanwhile, they're about to start making repairs and improvements to the area around the toll plaza.

Escambia County will post updates and traffic impacts on the Pensacola Beach Twitter feed.
