Homes evacuated after oil tank explosion near Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, La. -- More than two dozen homes were evacuated after an oil tank exploded near Baton Rouge, Louisiana Thursday night.

Fire officials decided to let the fire burn out on its own instead of fighting it.

State emergency officials say the homes were evacuated as a precaution.

"We heard a big explosion and come up over there and they said one of the oil tanks had exploded and it almost knocked my wife down. Yeah man, it was kinda crazy. She didn't know what was going on,     She thought somebody had just pushed her down you know."

Crews are still investigating what caused the explosion.

Luckily, no one was hurt.
