Hands Across the Sand on Pensacola Beach

PENSACOLA BEACH, Fla. -- This weekend people all across the country are joining hands and going to the beach.

It's all part of the annual Hands Across the Sand event, a peaceful protest that opposes offshore drilling.

Hundreds of people came out to Casino Beach Saturday to hold hands and promote clean energy.

Hands Across the Sand started in 2010 as a response to the BP Oil Spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
