New tracking device helps parents find missing children

The disappearance of 8-year-old Owen Black on Perdido Key this past weekend had a tragic ending. A newly-released transmitter may not have saved Owen, but it could have shortened the search.

A "Project Life Saver" tracking device can help parents find children in about 30 minutes instead of six to eight hours. The tracking device costs $300 and is worn around the wrist, ankle, or even as a necklace.
