Potential norovirus outbreak sickens more than 100 students at Wash. school

Officials are concerned after more than a 100 kids called in sick at a school in Washington state. They are quarantining the school after a potential norovirus outbreak.

The Grant County Health District is scrubbing the school down after what they thinks is an outbreak of the norovirus.

The virus causes the same symptoms you'd find in a Pepto commercial: Upset stomach, fever, diarrhea.

It also spreads like wildfire and lives on counter tops, seats, and other objects. Which is why Longview is locked down while teachers clean everything.

Health officials say the best way to prevent the spread of the virus is to stay clean with soap and water and stay away from others if you are sick.
