Gas prices decreasing

Drivers hitting the road for the Fourth of July can expect a bit of a break at the pump.

According to the energy information administration, the national average price for a gallon of gas has fallen five cents to three dollars and 57 cents - the third consecutive weekly decrease.

However, the price is still 14 cents higher than it was a year ago.
Increasing refinery inventories have been driving prices lower in all regions except the central Atlantic where prices rose about one cent and the west coast which has seen an increase of about six cents a gallon.
