Eight percent of young Americans, ages 16 to 24, have lost a job opportunity because of their social media profiles.

That's according to a study by market analyst firm on device research.
Seven percent of job seekers, age 25 to 34, have been rejected because of social media.

However, the study also found a two-thirds majority said they're not concerned about how social media use may harm future career prospects.
