Pensacola Beach shooting suspect denied bond
PENSACOLA -- The man accused of shooting a Milton man to death on Pensacola Beach will stay in jail.
Demarcus Jenkins was in court this morning to see about getting a bond.
But the judge denied his request.
Jenkins is charged with second degree murder in the death of 34-year old Michael Harris of Milton.
Harris was shot to death just before Tuesday morning near the Casino Beach pavilion.
Deputies say Harris was walking down the beach with his girlfriend and they got into an argument.
That's when another group of strangers stepped in to intervene.
But then things escalated and Harris was shot in the chest.
