Florida Gay Marriage

FLORIDA   --  Amidst the excitement and cheers still some looming questions over the US Supreme Court's decision to strike down the Defense of Marriage Act.

The Supreme Court ruling affects states where gay marriage is legal.
35 states currently ban gay marriage including Florida.
        
In 2008, Florida voters approved a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriages.
   
Governor Rick Scott says he will continue to support that law.
Gay couples who marry in another state but live in Florida will be offered some federal benefits, but not all.

But those states just like Florida, it really has no legal impact as of yet"
In order to get rid of Amendment Two stating marriage is between a man and a woman, gay marriage has to be put back on the ballot in 2014.
   
In order to pass, 60 percent of voters must approve it.
