Venezuela offers Snowden asylum

Venezuela has offered asylum to Edward Snowden.  It's not clear yet if the former NSA contractor, who leaked classified documents, will accept the offer.  Snowden has spent over two weeks hiding in the Moscow airport.  Also today, a new interview with Snowden has surfaced. It's the second part of his sit down with guardian newspaper. In it... he explains why he released the classified information.

Snowden said, “I don't want to live in a world where everything that I say, everything I do, everyone I talk to, every expression of creativity or love or friendship is recorded..”

The interview was conducted over a month ago in a hotel room in Hong Kong. For Snowden to leave the Moscow airport, he still needs travel documents.  The US has revoked his passport.  And flights to South America from Russia cross into US airspace and where they could be forced to land
