DNA proves link to Boston killings

DNA now links Albert Desalvo to the Boston strangler killings. Desalvo's body was exhumed earlier this month for testing. His DNA was matched from a woman who was sexually assaulted and strangled back in 1964. Desalvo confessed to about a dozen killings. He later recanted and was never convicted of any of them. Desalvo was stabbed to death in 1973 while serving a life sentence for rapes unrelated to the Boston strangler case.
