Unusual crop circles "All natural" biologist says

It was a Google Maps mystery.  Circles, stars, and other shapes appearing in the woods outside Saint Louis, Missouri, off interstate 44.  A biologist from Washington University explains... they're all natural.
The areas are shaped by exposed bedrock. The plants and other inhabitants, like tarantulas and scorpions, are all native to the state.
Tiffany Knight/Associate Professor of Biology said, "They're found here and nowhere else in the world. These are species that if we lost them in this region they would be lost to the globe cause they are found here and nowhere else."
The glades are part of a 2,000 acre outdoor lab for ecosystem studies.
