Man arrested on sexual felony charges

Felony charges have been filed on a Pensacola man after an investigation determined he had sexual relations with three female juveniles between 2003 and 2007.

Douglas Alden Parker Jr., 47, was arrested July 16 and charged with two counts of felony lewd and lascivious behavior. On July 17, an additional charge of felony lewd and lascivious behavior also was served on him.

Sgt. Kristin Brown said detectives began investigating Parker on July 14, the same day one of the females filed a complaint against Parker with the Department of Children and Families. An investigation determined the females were ages three to nine years old when Parker had sexual contact with them.

Brown said detectives also are in the process of examining Parker’s computer after child pornography was found on it; additional charges are pending for possession of child pornography.

As of July 16, Parker was a Boy Scout leader for troops 3 and 608 and was an Information Technology employee for the Escambia County School District, but the school district position had no direct contact with children, Brown said.

The case remains under investigation. Anyone having questions/information about Parker’s activities is asked to contact Sgt. Kristin Brown at 435 - 1965.
