Navarre woman charged with releasing pit bull on deputies

NAVARRE   --  A Navarre woman is facing assault charges after releasing a pit bull on a deputy.

Deputies were serving outstanding warrants for drug trafficking and other felony warrants at a home on Toledo Street.

When they knocked on the door, Cassie Dyson answered, holding a large, aggressive pit bull on a leash.

Deputies asked Dyson to take the dog away.
