Weekends on the Coast - Gallery Night-FWB Art in the Park
PENSACOLA -- Businesses in downtown Pensacola are getting ready for Gallery Night.
Starting at 5 pm Palafox Street from Garden to Main will be shut down.
So will Government Street, which runs in front of Seville Quarter.
Local artists will display and sell their work through out the galleries and along the streets.
Its a way for people to get to know their local artists, and give a boost to downtown business.
"Economic shot in the arm."
The galleries will stay open until 9 pm.
It might not be as dangerous as the traditional run in Spain,
But there'll be plenty of excitement at this year's running of the bulls in Pensacola..
Tomorrow morning at 10 am runners will be released on the streets in the downtown area..
Shortly after the "bulls" will be released which are actually skaters with "Pensacola Roller Gurlz"...
They'll have wiffle bats and will be chasing the runners..
After the run, you can enjoy live music, food and drinks.
You can tap into your artistic side and help needy animals at the same time...
On Sunday afternoon "Painting with a Twist" is offering a class on the well-known tropical piece "Maui Chris" of a dog and a martini.
Registration is $45 and proceeds will go to help homeless cats and dogs at the Humane Society of Pensacola.
Painting with a Twist is located in the Target Shopping Center on Bayou Boulevard.
The Pensacola Blue Wahoos will try again tonight to beat the Huntsville Stars.
Last night, the Stars won 1 to 0 over the Wahoos in front of a sellout crowd at the Bayfront Stadium.
The second game in the five game homestand starts at 7 pm.
FORT WALTON BEACH -- There is also an art walk going on this evening in Fort Walton Beach.
People can walk along the downtown streets looking at art and crafts.
There will also be live music and an outdoor movie about surfing.
It all starts at 5:30.
