UPDATE: Driver plows into crowd on Calif. beach boardwalk

CALIFORNIA -- A man accused of intentionally driving into crowds at the Venice beach, California boardwalk is behind bars today. One woman is dead -- and eleven others injured after the incident. Authorities said Nathan Campbell, 38, drove through the crowd -- then ditched the car and ran away Saturday night. Campbell turned himself in about two hours after the attack. He is being charged with murder and is held on $1 million bond.

"He was intentionally doing it. He wasn't honking his horn, anything. He was just doing forty miles an hour, just hitting people. I've never seen anything like that."
Authorities say another victim was critically hurt, two were in serious condition and others were treated for less serious injuries.
