Manhunt over, abducted teen to reunite with father

IDAHO -- A sudden end to a massive manhunt in Idaho -- a murder and kidnapping suspect is dead. And a 16-year-old girl who was abducted after her mother and brother were killed is expected to be reunited with her father on Sunday.
A six-day manhunt stretching from San Diego to Idaho.... For a 40-year-old double murder suspect and the girl he allegedly abducted, 16-year-old Hannah Anderson, is over.
Sheriff Bill Gore, San Diego County said, "During an arrest attempt in North Lake Idaho, suspect James Lee DiMaggio was shot and killed by an FBI tactical agent."
Sheriff Bill Gore, San Diego County said, Hannah was successfully rescued and appears to be in pretty good shape."
Sheriff Patti Bolen, Valley County, ID said,  "This is a homicide suspect that was in a very rugged area, and we had a 16-year-old girl who we wanted to bring home safely, that's what we wanted, we wanted it to end safely, we wanted her home, and that's exactly what happened."
200-specially trained law enforcement officers penetrated the rugged terrain called the "River of No Return Wilderness" in Idaho to find DiMaggio and the teenager, after hikers spotted them there on Wednesday...  three days after DiMaggio reportedly killed Hannah's 8-year old brother Ethan and their mother Christine in their home in San Diego, and then burnt it to the ground.
Police believe DiMaggio had an "unusual infatuation" with Hannah. Her father, Brett Anderson, desperately wanted to have his daughter back.
Sheriff Bill Gore, San Diego County said, "He was very relieved and very excited about being reunited with his daughter."
A reunion that will happen just days after a family tragedy.
