BERTHA QUICKLY HEADING WEST-NORTHWEST

Tropical Storm Bertha formed over the Atlantic Thursday night and is heading west-northwest.  It has winds of 45 miles per hour and is not forecast to become a hurricane. The storm is not forecast to move into the Gulf of Mexico.

Florida Dengue Tests

Florida health officials are investigating cases of an infectious disease that's usually found in Asia.

Martin County health workers are going door-to-door and asking questions.
   
They are testing for dengue fever.

The state has recorded 18 confirmed cases of the mosquito borne-illness, that causes bone grinding pain, high fever and headaches.

Health workers are also giving residents prevention information.  County officials are inspecting property, and spraying for mosquitoes in affected areas.
