Family asks for help after man’s death was caught on dashcam
FLORIDA -- The family of a Florida man who was run over and killed by a police officer is asking for help. Marlon Brown's family is asking the Florida Department of Law enforcement to step in. They say police dashcam video does not match up with Marlon Brown's autopsy report. His ex-wife wants the FDLE to conduct an independent probe into Brown's death.
"You see him come around two other cars that had stopped their pursuit. He goes through the back yard and he goes through the vegetable garden. If you don't call that reckless, I don't know what you call it. He was executed in a vegetable garden for an alleged seatbelt violation."
Police say Brown, 38, ran from them after officers tried to pull him over for a seat belt violation. One officer was fired for running brown over.
