Gary Finch shows clay shooting spots

Dove season starts this weekend, so you might be doing a little clay shooting to get warmed up.
Gary Finch tells us about a place where you can get that practice in, and also help out some good causes.

Good morning everyone.  As you can see behind us, we're up here at Perdido, Alabama at bushy creek sporting clays for a benefit shoot for the Boy Scouts of America.  It's a great cause and it's a good way to not only make a contribution, but also, tune up your shooting skills for the dove season.

(Cary Wilson)  It was a good job by all, including yourself.  We appreciate it.  I think this is our fourteenth year doing the clay shoot and it gets bigger and better every year and I think this is our third year out here at bushy creek.  The final thing that happens is the clay shoot and we got tons of people out here, having a good time and Foosackly's feeding us lunch and the people like that.

(Gary)  We all just said, two minutes ago, you know, what a great way to spend an afternoon.

(Gary cox)  Well, it's not as much about you and i as it is the cause that we're supporting.  Today's event is boy scouts.  We focus primarily on helping organizations raise funds, boy scouts being one example.  We host numerous other events that are worthy.  Fellowship of christian athletes, point clear rotary, gulf shores kiwanis, all of this is about the children predominantly of mobile and baldwin county.  That's our primary focus, gary, we really love to engage the children and we've got some wonderful hosts such as fca, rotaries and kiwanis to help carry that torch.

(Gary sot)  Whether you are shooting for a benefit or you just need the practice, look for one of these events in your area.  For three in the morning, i'm gary finch>>

For more gary finch outdoors, tune in saturdays at 5:30am and 5pm... And again on sunday at five-30 in the morning on our sister station, wfgx.
