Teen Youth Town Hall

PENSACOLA    --  Several kids in the area are taking a stand against violence.
"If you hear something happen to a young person, you should come forward, don't be scared"

Pensacola's Youth Chapter of the NAACP are holding a Town Hall meeting this weekend.

It comes in the wake of several deadly shootings in the Pensacola area.
Closet to home for many of the teens is the recent death of 14-year-old Kenteyonna Anderson.

She was shot outside a friends apartment on Maxwell Street last month.
Deputies say she was an innocent victim to a random act of violence.

The meeting this weekend is designed for the youth to voice their concerns and also come up with solutions.

"When we walk in the streets we have to be careful... make sure you're in the house at a certain time"

"Sometimes when I'm getting off the bus I'm feeling kinda scared."
The meeting starts at 1 tomorrow afternoon at the West Florida Public Library.
Rides will be given to those who don't have a way to get there.
