Blue Angels may be back

The Blues may be back.
According to the Department of Defense's website, the Pentagon has announced a plan to at least partially fund the Navy's demonstration team.

The article quotes a memo sent to military leaders from Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel that outlines the Pentagon's new strategic approach to Community Outreach Programs.

It says activities like the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds will resume, but at a more limited frequency than in previous years.

A senior defense official says the plan calls for the programs to operate at about 45 percent capacity.

We don't know yet what this means for a homecoming shows, or the Blue Angels schedule next year.

We are waiting for a response from Naval Air Station Pensacola and we will keep you posted.
