Investigators dig into forged prison papers

Days after two convicted murderers were mistakenly released from prison, investigators are finding out how they forged documents to set them free.

Charles Walker and Joseph Jenkins were found Saturday night in Panama City. The two convicted killers had forged court documents authorizing their release from prison.

Florida's police commissioner says a total of seven inmates have tried schemes like this since 2009. Five of them - from the same prison where Walker and Jenkins escaped.

Now, prison officials will now be required to check with a judge to ensure the release order is legitimate.

"...Obviously they've recognized holes in our system. It wasn't the department of law enforcement. Holes have been recognized and they are doing a very good job of patching those holes through a series of confirmations before an action like this is taken...."

Investigators are now looking for those who helped the killers - even testing DNA on the forged documents.
