Florida to keep controvercial school grading policy
Florida is going to keep a controversial safety net provision for the state's school grading system.
Today the State Board of Education voted to limit a school's A to F grade from dropping more than one letter at a time.
The rule was proposed earlier this year and meant to be "temporary."
But State Board of Education members argue the rule is needed until the state completely transitions to new standards.
Those take effect during the next school year.
