PENSACOLA -- Tuesdays are usually the least popular day of the week to get married -- but not today.
That's because today's date is 11-12-13 and many couples consider the sequential date catchy, easy to remember and good luck.
Mary Price runs one of downtown Pensacola's most popular wedding venues -- 5-11 Palafox Event Hosting.
She has a wedding booked for tonight -- the couple specifically wanted to get married on 11-12-13.
A national David Bridals survey showed 2300 couples planning to tie the knot today -- 10 times the number on the same Tuesday last year.
Price says over the years she's noticed couples paying more attention to dates rather than days of the week.
She says she's not complaining -- and says the fun trend is good for business year round.
Mary Price/ Palafox Event Hosting "Another interesting one is, I have a bride whose grandparents got married on April Fools Day and her parents got married on April Fools Day and she's just booked April Fools Days which is on a Tuesday."
The next -- and last -- sequential date for this century is 12-13-14, that's December 13th of next year.
It's a Saturday.
Price says she's had many calls on that date too -- she is already booked.
Local justice of the peace weddings are way up today as well.
Before noon -- ten couples had tied the knot at the Escambia County Courthouse.
