Florida Congressman Radel checks self into rehab facility
Florida congressman, Trey Radel, is taking a leave of absence from congress to seek treatment for substance abuse.
Radel was caught buying cocaine in a DC neighborhood back in October.
He pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor cocaine possession charge in Washington D.C. yesterday.
Radel also apologized to his constituents, and his family and told the judge he realizes he's hit the bottom and needs treatment.
The judge sentenced Radel to one year-probation.
He is voluntarily entering himself into an in-patient drug treatment facility in Naples.
