Gary Finch: gift ideas for a fisherman
If you're shopping for a gift for the sportsman or - woman in your life Gary Finch has some suggestions.
That's right folks, this Friday is Black Friday and Saturday is shop local. And today I am here with Nelson Wingo of Campbell Hardware & Sporting Goods to talk a little bit about stocking stuffers for the fisherman. What kind of ideas do you have?
"We've got a fishing filet knife which is something that everyone needs," Nelson said. "This is one made by browning. It's an excellent filet knife. Other than that you can go on to the kids' fishing rods and reels. This is one that is very popular. One of the little princess rods for the girl fisherman and we do have a tremendous number of young ladies that fish. We've got quite a good assortment of young children's rods and reels, whether it be batman or spiderman or whatever, these are real nice."
Then for somebody a little bit older you could get on in to a regular okuma rod and reel combination. We've got all kinds of assortments of these from freshwater ultralights on into the medium to heavy speckled trout, redfish rods.
"T-shirts are a great stocking stuffer especially if someone wants to buy one from their favorite team or their favorite sporting goods store," Gary said.
"They make an excellent stocking stuffer for young kids and we carry them in 4 or 5 different colors, with different styles on the back so it would be an excellent stocking stuffer for anybody. Nobody can ever have too many t-shirts," Nelson said.
"A lot of people talk about having the cooler and this may not fit in stocking stuffer but it would be considered a great stocking stuffer, wouldn't it?" Gary said.
"Very much so," Nelson said.
"Tell me a little bit about this because you are actually the dealer for these coolers," Gary said.
"Yes. We are the local dealer for the k2 cooler brand. Like i said, it works very well. Holds ice up to 5 days. Like I said we've got up to 5 different sizes, makes and models. From the small 24 all the way up to the larger 70 and 90 quart," Nelson said.
"Nelson, thank you. You're always a big help. I hope you and your family have a great thanksgiving weekend. Folks, remember, Black Friday and shop local Saturday," Gary said.
