One of nation's oldest vets honored in Washington ceremony

Across the nation Americans marked Veterans Day with festive parades and solemn remembrances.

At Arlington National Cemetery, President Obama honored the men and women who served.

The president gave special recognition to Richard Overton who at age 107 is one of the nation's oldest vets.
He was there at Pearl Harbor when the battleships were still smoldering. He was there at Okinawa. He was there at Iwo Jima, where he said, I only got out of there by the grace of God.

President Obama called for a standing ovation for Overton's courage and sacrifice.
