Frank Brown Festival tribute to Larry Butler

One of the largest songwriters festivals in the country is under way.
The Frank Brown Festival started 29 years ago as an "end of season" party for local musicians.

This year they're using thirty venues from Pensacola to Gulf Shores.
Around 200 artists are performing including Grammy award-winners and chart toppers.

Tonight, the Flora-Bama Lounge is hosting a tribute to Pensacola's Larry Butler.

Butler was a musician who wrote and produced hit songs for the likes of Kenny Rogers and Johnny Cash.

The tribute performances start at 6:30.
