GULF OF MEXICO   --  A new project, being paid for with BP settlement money, will collect more data about red snapper in the gulf.

Researchers on commercial and recreational  fishing boats will document the type of fish being caught which of those are released and how many of the released fish survive.
The project will last 5 years and use 3-million dollars of the fine paid by BP and Transocean.
