YOUR THREE CENTS: Do you support an increase in the minimum wage?

A new Gallup Poll finds that three-fourths of Americans support increasing the minimum wage from the current $7.25 to $9 per hour.

The poll shows 76 percent support the change -- up from 71 percent in March.

22 percent oppose it.
The White House announced last week that President Obama supports a bi-partisan bill that would increase the minimum wage, incrementally, to $10.10 per hour.

Obama had proposed a $9 minimum wage during his February State of the Union address.

While polls show that there is plenty of support for an increase in the public, it has little chance of passage.

House Speaker John Boehner and even some Democrats have expressed opposition.
