8 homes have been broken into this past week in Daphne, Al

It's the season of giving but every once in a while you get a Grinch.
Daphne police are warning the community to keep an eye out for thieves trying to steal holiday cheer.
   
Within the past week, 8 homes in the Lake Forest subdivision have been broken into.
The alleged Grinches are cashing in this Christmas, by kicking in doors and stealing electronics.
   
Resident Nick Browning is shocked criminals are targeting his community.
"Obviously that's very concerning so to speak, break-ins anytime are gonna be awful but close to the holiday just runs in contrast to the holiday spirit."
   
Lieutenant Beedy is warning the community to be extra cautious.
If residents see anything out of the ordinary, give officers a call.
