Pensacola Egg Festival today at Maritime Park

More than 50 Big Green Eggs will be filling Pensacola's Bayfront Stadium with wonderful aromas today.

The first "Pensacola Egg Fest," teams will be smoking, grilling and fire roasting everything from Boston butts and briskets, to oysters, shrimp and alligator.

The public can sample everything and vote on their favorite dish. But the big winner will be a non profit group called "Chain Reaction"
A teen leadership and volunteer center serving Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties.

"Big Green Eggs," bbq accessories, spices, rubs, and beverages will also be up for sale.

Tickets are 35 dollars at the gate. The Martime Park opens at 11am and it runs until 2pm.
