BERTHA QUICKLY HEADING WEST-NORTHWEST

Tropical Storm Bertha formed over the Atlantic Thursday night and is heading west-northwest.  It has winds of 45 miles per hour and is not forecast to become a hurricane. The storm is not forecast to move into the Gulf of Mexico.

China lands rover on moon

China landed its first Lunar Rover on the moon today.

The solar-powered Rover, dubbed Jade Rabbit, will patrol the moon's surface, studying it's structure and dig up rocks and soil.
   
The mission is expected to last at least three months.
This is the first Lunar touchdown in almost four decades.
