Dad adds personal touch to his daughter's drawing
One dad is taking his childrens artwork to the next level by adding his own personal touch to their uncompleted drawings. Fred Giovannitti, an inventor and tattoo shop owner from Milton, Del., travels a lot for work, but figured out a creative way to still feel close to his children while on his flights. My children like to draw me pictures for my trip so I can keep them close to me while I'm away, Giovannitti wrote to GoodMorningAmerica.com. But one day his daughter wasnt able to complete her picture in time, so she quickly scribbled a line drawing for her dad to take with him. Giovannitti decided to color in his daughters drawing instead of his work on his own. When I returned home, I gave her the picture and she loved it so much that we started a tradition of me collaborating with both of my children each month on drawings to be colored by me on my trips, he explained. Giovannitti hopes their artwork, which has gained quite an online audience, will inspire parents to take on more creative projects with their children.
