Chick-fil-a servers meals to shelter

Cold weather is causing more homeless people to take shelter at the Waterfront Rescue Mission and Monday, the mission got some help from a local restaurant to feed everyone.

The Chick-fil-a on 9 mile road collected donations from customers, then delivered about 400 meals to the shelter.
People staying at the shelter also got some Christmas cheer along with the food.

Mick Breault, the President of Waterfront Rescue Mission said, "These guys are in dire need and, and we've been put here, God put us here to do this and it's an opportunity for us to give back to the community and the community gives back too, to these guys that have to live on the streets, they're down and out and we're trying to help 'em up."

The mission served Thanksgiving dinner to nearly 14-hundred people and now its getting ready now for the Christmas day banquet.
