Workers making progress on Mahogany Mill Boat Ramp

Builders are making progress on the Mahogany Mill Boat Ramp in Escambia County.

Construction started in March at the site on Bayou Chico, off Old Barrancas Avenue.
They're putting in a three-lane boat ramp, parking spaces, and a sanitary pump-out station.
The plan also includes a public gazebo and restrooms.

Dennis Howerton- Boater: "This will make it a lot more convenient for fisherman or people coming down here to do pleasure boating."

The two-million dollar project is being funded with BP restoration money.
The county expects it to be finished by April.
